Meet Dr. Chris Hoover
The Road to Chiropractic
Dr. Hoover always planned to do something in the healthcare field, but he didn’t initially plan on chiropractic.
His first experience of chiropractic care was through his mom. One day, at the age of 33 and in perfect health, she woke up and couldn’t get out of bed. She spent six months in and out of hospitals until finally a woman from their church suggested chiropractic. After two weeks of care, she was back to normal. That experience stayed with Dr. Hoover.
Later, after sustaining an ankle injury playing high school baseball, Dr. Hoover received chiropractic care that got him back to playing ball within a few days, instead of the usual few weeks. Finally in college, he got great results with chiropractic care for his headaches, and he knew that chiropractic was the path for him.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama at Huntsville, Dr. Hoover received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University in 1988.
A Passion for Healing
Dr. Hoover gets great joy from seeing people get back to doing the things they once loved. He approaches patient care as a challenge—he’s determined to unravel the underlying cause of the problem and create a care plan that resolves it and allows people’s bodies to heal so they can function optimally again.
Dr. Hoover goes the extra mile, staying current on new methods and services, and he’ll do whatever it takes to give every patient the best results. He’s easy-going and friendly, and he doesn’t believe that a doctor has to be cold and clinical to offer outstanding care and professionalism. He truly likes people, and it’s his pleasure to be able to help them get better.

Away from the Office
When Dr. Hoover isn’t at Back Care Plus, he can be found spending time with his wife and daughter, doing family activities like bowling and football games. The family is very involved in their church, where Dr. Hoover is the lead usher and his wife is on the greeter team.
