Getting Started
At Back Care Plus, we make getting the care you need as convenient as possible. We are open late, and we offer same-day appointments. We are also in-network with most insurance plans in Alabama.
Your First Visit
We ask that you come in 15 minutes before your appointment time to complete the necessary paperwork. Our front desk staff is warm and friendly and will greet you by name. After you’ve completed the paperwork, they’ll walk you back to the exam room for your consultation with Dr. Hoover. He’ll chat with you and get to know you and what’s been bothering you. He’ll conduct a thorough exam, which will be tailored to your issues and complaints. He’ll also take digital X-rays.
He’ll go over the results of your exams and review your X-rays with you, so you can see exactly what’s going on and what needs to be done to correct your condition. If you’re ready, Dr. Hoover will begin treatment the same day, so you don’t have to live with pain any longer than necessary.
Your first treatment will consist of the chiropractic adjustment, plus any other necessary services, such as physical therapy, e-stim, traction or muscle work. Dr. Hoover will explain your entire treatment plan to you. He will explain it again at your second visit, because many people get overwhelmed with so much information all at once, and he wants you to understand the process every step of the way.
Other Imaging
In some cases, particularly with sports injuries or personal injury cases, Dr. Hoover may need additional imaging such as an MRI or CT scan before starting care. In such cases, we have an imaging lab that we work with and we’ll refer you out for those.
